Saturday morning May 12th, 2012, 10,000 people met on Park Center Boulevard in Boise, Idaho to create a small town of pink, purple and positive thoughts. The sun rose over the Boise foothills and bathed all the participants in warm glow and a blue bird day. Participants of the 5K and 1M all pooled into a massive crowd and both races started at once flowing out onto Park Center Boulevard in river of bobbling pink, purple and white. Runners, walkers, wheelchairs, canes and participants getting help from friends worked their way around the course.
I was fortunate enough to be selected by Komen of Idaho to photograph this powerful event along with photographers Marjorie McBride and Keith Walklet. Below is a link to the 2012 Komen Race for the Cure Photos. Thanks to everyone for all the great pictures!
